On definition and construction of association measures

In this talk the theoretical bases of constructing association measures on different domains will be discussed. An association measure is considered as a function defined on a set X with involutive operation and satisfying a set of axioms. The general methods of construction of such functions related with t-conorms and similarity measures defined on X are considered. It is shown that a sample correlation coefficient can be obtained by these methods as a specific case. The methods of constructing association measures on different domains are considered. The examples of association measures on the sets of time series, fuzzy sets, etc. are discussed.)
